Engravable guest book?

I really like the idea of having an engravable photo mat for our guestbook. Anybody have any comments or had one of these? They are kind of expensive, but do you think they turn out well or should I stick with the traditional guestbook? Thanks for your input knotties!

Re: Engravable guest book?

  • I'm not really sure what an "engraveable" photo mat is, but for our guest book we had a large mat around a 5x7 of an engagement picture.  I think we found the frame/mat together at Hobby Lobby  on sale for under $20.

I have seen the engravable photo mat.  They have all kinds of them.  I have seen the metal frame and it uses a diamond tip pen for guests to write with.  A friend of mine used it for her wedding and it now hangs in her living room with a new picture of her, her husband and beautiful baby boy.  It looked great.  They are expensive but it is something you will use, whereas a guestbook will sit on a shelf or something.  The frame will be displayed in your home for anyone to see.  I think its worth the money.  Its either spend money on something you will use or spend less money on something you might only look at a couple of times.

Bonus, you get to look at the well wishes all your friends and family gave you, everyday!
