I think my fiance and I are going to have our wedding/reception at our soon to be acreage. I was hoping for having potato salad, bean salad (etc, a few more) and corn on the cob and burgers and smokies for guests. My question is, do you think it's necessary to have set up tables and chairs for all guests? I thought it would be nicer to have tables that could accomodate about half to 3/4 of the guests to keep the area open and encourage mingling. We of course would have chairs for all the guests from the actual ceremony, so there would be chairs to sit on should the guests feel the need to sit. I just don't really want to rent a tonne of tables and have no one use them!
