wedding gift question (yes, another one)

Ok so I'm pretty sure this has been asked before but I just want to be sure. My nana sent us a check as part of her wedding gift but I'm not sure if I deposit it now or after the wedding? 

On one hand, I know she is anal about balancing her checkbook. On the other hand, we're not married yet. 

Anyone else dealt with this yet?

Also, funny story: Her other gift was our kitchenaid mixer and some attachments for it. There were 3 boxes so we open the 1st and it's the attachments, the 2nd and it's the mixer in the wrong color so I thought I would exchange for the right color, then the 3rd box is the mixer in the right color! How do you make a mistake like that?!?!

I cashed the two checks I received and sent thank you cards as I received them a while ago with the persons' RSVPs (which were both no's).  So do you now have 2 kitchenaid mixers??

We've gotten a few checks already and we deposited them and wrote thank you notes right away.

2 kitchen aid mixers? Are you planning on returning one? I don't know what I'd do with 2 of them even though I love mine.

We tried to cash the one that we got like, a month ago, but it was made out to both of us with his last name, and the stupid bank wouldn't cash it!!! I don't really know what to do, since it will take me a while until I get my name changed and then go open an account with him!

The other one we got was dated with our wedding date, so I know they aren't expecting us to cash it for a while.

Ok good to know, I'll deposit it this week. It's made out to just me with my maiden name so depositing it won't be a problem. I just wanted to be sure.

I'm 99% sure it was a mistake. I'm going to tell her tomorrow and offer to return it and have them put it back on her card. It was from amazon and I'm thinking maybe she thought it was more accessories or something. lol it was just the weirdest thing opening them up and finding 2 mixers.
