Props or no props for the Photo booth?

We are having a photo booth at the wedding..debating whether I should include props or not. Opinions?

We are also having a photo booth (well it's more of a traditional formal photo with a backdrop) and these are the favors for the wedding.  I told my photographer that I want everyone to have the opportunity to have a professional black/white photo as their favor during cocktail hour and after dinner.  Once the dance floor opens up, then he can offer props if they would like them.  I, personally, think props are a little hookey but I know how people like to play around with them.  So why not give them what they want!

Definitely props, I think it helps people relax and come out of their shells.

I agree you should add the props, it adds a little more flare to the pictures and allows the gets to be silly.

I am having a photobooth and I really like the idea of props but I don't usually like the props
the photo booth provides.  if i have time, i want to go to party city and buy some of my own
to supplement.

I like props.  We're going to do a diy photo booth and find some cute affordable props on etsy.  I think people like taking pictures with props, since they're funny and the pictures can turn out really cute.

I think you tend to get a lot more participation with props. People can always choose not to use them. When we're at a wedding with one, fi and I do one nice one, then a buttload of goofy ones. We have some from my cousins wedding that are some of my fave pictures of us. And we have on some seriouly goofy hats and such. Plus, some with my teens, which otherwise wouldn't happen.

If you're torn, I do like the idea of breaking them out partway through the night. Best of both worlds that way!

Props!! Make your own(ideas on Pinterest) or go to Salvation Army/St Vin's for something fun!! The more unique the better!
