Paris Theme!

 I am considering doing a Paris themed wedding and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for me. I think this would be so awesome but before I commit to it I want to make sure I would beable to pull it off. Any input/ideas/suggestions would be helpful. TIA!

I googled Paris themed wedding and saw alot of cute ideas. Here is something to get you started.

What a great idea... Paris is one of my favorite cities!   Instead of traditional table numbers, you could label each table as table 1: Eiffel Tower, table 2: Arc de Triomphe, Table 3: Moulin Rouge, Table 4: Louis Vuitton, etc.  Also, if you have been there before, you may want to include photos of yourself or fiance by the famous sites.  Consider an Eiffel Tower cake or an image on the invitation (see below)...

This theme might be a little tricky in terms of food... French food can be quite expensive, and of course it depends on what your venue offers and your budget.  Think of delicious pastries for dessert.  Perhaps hire an accordian player to stroll around during dinner or cocktail hour.  A coffee station with baguettes... Your menu card could have the entrees spelled out in both French and English.  I also envision a color scheme of rich, sophisticated colors such as purple and gold.
Go to Google and type in Paris-themed wedding images and Parisian food for more ideas.

Sounds like a cute theme to me!  Don't get me wrong I love paris but it does have the potential to be cheesy if you go overboard on the eiffle towers or something.  As long as you keep more in the vein of french romance I think it will be really gorgeous.

Paris is lovely, but for most people who have never been there, they will only know a few key things that will scream "Paris!' to them.  Those are:  fashion and the Eiffel tower.  Some may also pull in the fleur de lis.  My recommendation is that in addition to the "Paris" feel, try to bring the French culture into your reception.  I actually am in the midst of doing the same thing because my fiance is African, but his country was colonized by the French (and his first language is French).  So with that, don't forget the following:  wine, cheese, bread, lace, nice fabric, and quality.  The French are known for their exquisite taste, so maybe you can play up on that.  Also, your table numbers could be wine bottles with number labels on them.  Just a few thoughts to get you going...happy planning!
