Centerpieces???

I completely forgot about centerpieces :/ I've googled and looked on pinterest but haven't seen anything that inspired me yet. Will you ladies post some pics of your centerpieces, please!!! My venue provides a square mirror and 3 candles, but I feel we need something more than that!

I have a great idea. There's this place called The Knot and they have wedding ideas and a whole section on flowers/centerpieces. You can even filter by color!
  • I have also looked there. Well on the iPad app anyways. It's mainly a bunch of pictures of menus on plates. Nothing really inspiring, hence my post.

http://wedding.theknot.com/wedding-planning/wedding-flowers.aspx This is the Link to flowers and centerpieces. No pictures of plates and menus.
  • if you don't want to get too fancy you could always just add some larger pillar candles or even some lanterns. also there are lots of things you can do with wine bottles or picture frames. not all the tables have to have the same centerpieces either. i've been to some where there were 3 or 4 different centerpieces and they flowed really nice with the decor/theme.

Here's ours. I wish I had a better picture w/o the glass/napkin behind it, but I don't. They are Manzanita branches with flowers tied to them in a vase of river rocks.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • Our wedding is still in the planning stages, but I did find these and fell in love with them! They are so original.

They have different ones as well. I have already contacted them and am ordering a sample, just so you know that option is not on the site, but I called them, and they were more than willing to send us one. They have place card votives as well. Not sure if this is something you'd be interested in, but I just loved the idea.

    Good luck!
  • If you've taken engagement pictures or have a collection of pictures of your FI and yourself over the years have them printed out with the table number on the opposite side.

[QUOTE]Yours is in July, so mine might not work for you (it was for a winter wedding) ... but here it is -  Here's a centerpiece from another friend's wedding last September -

Love this! I am doing wine bottles too :) I painted half of them white and half of them black and sprinkled glitter on them. I will fill them with (fake) Hot pink roses and some silver ting ting with about 5 votive candles around on each table, I am doing 3 bottles per table. I can not wait to see the finished product!  So far I've just sprayed them and bought the things to go in them.

ETA-what size mirrors did you use underneath them?
  • add a low placed arrangement with the flowers and candles on the mirrors, or skip the mirror all together and add a table square in a cool pattern
