so i mentioned in a previous post how i was excited to have my whole day itinerary planned out with my photographers/limo down to the last hour. wellllll things have now turned upside down and i felt crazy today! we were going to go to a location in center city to get alot of pics done since i didnt want to see FI before the ceremony and our venue will only let us get there an hour before the ceremony....or so i thought. i called the venue today for a totally different topic and it turns out that they WILL in fact let us arrive 2.5 hours earlier than expected for a price haha (even this is unheard of for this place, they are super strict). the price is not that bad ($250) and for me it totally worth it so that we can get ALL the pics done at the venue. so now......heres the thing.....do i cave and see FI before the ceremony because then we can literally get ALL group/me and FI shots out of the way and we can go to our cocktail hour?? i guess i already know the answer (yes) but i had it set in my head that we wouldnt. but oh well, i think this way we wont miss out on as much of the wedding. i guess i just got a little anxious because  now we have to revamp the entire itinerary that we did...which took forvever! and now this also poses another issue.....we would have to drop the guys off at the venue at 2:30, then the limo has to turn around and come back to get the girls for us to be there by 3:15. i dont know if anyone will be at the venue to let the guys in!!! and we alll cant go together since we are doing the first look a the venue....so do i pay for a whole other limo?!! my head is going to spin off....sorry this is so long!

 It sounds like you have your heart set on not seeing FI before the ceremony, which is completely understandable. Maybe take a look at some of the First Look pics your photographer has taken to see if you might be interested in them. I do see the allure of having all of your pics done before so you can enjoy your cocktail hour, but I think it's a personal preference. What does your FI think?? My FI, who I thought would not want to see me before the ceremony, is all about the first look so he can be at the cocktail hour lol

i talked to him about it and he just wants to do whatever makes me happy....it seems that he is definetly leaning more towards the first look though since he wasnt happy about missing cocktail hour lol.

FI will not budge on this topic. He refuses to see me before I walk down the aisle...

Do what you two want to do   We're doing a lot of the pictures before the ceremony...only a few group shots afterwards so our WP can enjoy cocktail hour...I just feel that an hour is soo rushed for pictures!! but we're getting pictures done when we get back to FL...we're having our e-pic photog do pictures in Saint Augustine again, but i'm thinking for Sarasota or the Gulf this time for pics...the water is soo pretty there!

You don't have to do first look if you don't want to. We're doing all pics possible without us seeing each other before the wedding, then the pics with us after the ceremony. There is no way that these will take the full cocktail hour as most will be done before hand. So that an option that might give you that moment you want.

Ok so we are doing the whole first look pictures b/c of the reasons you mentioned.  Cocktail hour is our favorite part of weddings so we both refused to miss our own. 

FI has to be at our venue by 230 and I have to be there by 3pm to start taking our pictures.  Our venue is an hour away from our house so we did book 2 limos.  FI is going to have his limo pick him and the guys up.  It will take them to our hotel so they will all check in and get dressed there.  Then the limo will take them to our venue for 230. 

I am leaving in my limo with my parents and bridesmaids to get to our venue by 3.  We are going to take all of your formal shots before hand.

We decided to do the first look......FI finally gave me an opinion and said he would rather have "our moment" in private....just us. now I feel a little more relaxed about the idea! It was just so hard to let go of that image of him seeing me for the first time walking down the aise!
