Brunch

I am planning brunch reception?  Do u think this is a good idea?

Re: Brunch

  • As long as you, your FI, and your WP are okay with getting up at the buttcrack of dawn to start getting ready for the ceremony, it's a great idea.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I love brunch.  Just make there is a good variety of breakfast and lunch food rather than just a meal of high-carb breakfast foods.

It might help to skip fully getting ready with your wedding party - if several people aren't getting their hair and makeup done and getting dressed together, the wedding party hopefully won't have to get up terribly early.  Not taking a ton of pre-ceremony pictures would also save some time.
  • I like the idea.

I also agree with both breakfast and lunch items.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
