Martini Reception -NYE

Hi all :)
Happy Thursday!

We are getting married New Years Eve and we're making it a black tie affair. I think that a martini reception is both fun and elegant so thats what I'm going with. We're going to have keg beer and a martini luge with different martini options. :) What I'm stuck on is centerpieces... anyone have any neat ideas for them? I thought about incorporating a little bit of hot pink into the black/white theme to spice it up a little.

Thanks all :)

  • What if you used the large martini glasses.  They sell them at Michaels and some other stores and they are pretty much made for centerpieces.  You could fill them with sparkled white, black and hot pink balls.  Put some tea lights underneath and it will glow and sparkle.  Which so perfect for a New Years Eve Wedding.  Being that when I think of New years I think of the sparkle y glowing ball.

Oh and happy Thursday to you too!
  • You could do a cluster of three different size/style martini/cocktail glasses, fill them with water, and drop a mini glow stick (ravers used to put them in their mouths) of different colors (or all hot pink). It's pretty inexpensive, and there are no flames to worry about, although I love PP's idea too!

    Hooray for formal NYE weddings!
