guest book alternative/ card box

So I have been trying to think of something different for the guests to sign instead of just a book, it reminds me of a funeral. Anyway, I was thinking of having the guests sign our engagement picture book. Or, since FI and I are both big baseball fans, getting a few bats for people to sign. Our wedding isn't baseball themed but our cake topper is.

Also, I don't know if any of you have seen it on Pinterest, but instead of the old car box, I saw a mailbox with names and handprints on it from the movie Up. I love Disney movies, so I thought this would be cute.

I love the idea of the "Up" mailbox - especially if you can use it after the wedding as your real mailbox!

We're doing the same - there's a vintage rental company in the city in which we're marrying, and we're renting a mailbox from them.

I've seen taking a puzzle, having the guest sign a piece of the puzzle and then putting it together and in a frame later (using the puzzle glue stuff). I'm considering something like this - they can sign on either the front of the back depending on if you want to actually see the signatures all the time or not.

I'm sure this is mentioned in the thread with alternatives, but we ordered this poster from Etsy, and I know I'll love having it on the wall at home once it's signed. It's simple, and I like it better than the idea of a picture of us with signatures on the matting. :)

The attached image is just a proof of color options. We went with the bottom right, date spelled out.

The mailbox idea is cute!  I'd just find something that you would want to keep around your house after the wedding.
