glow sticks?!?

Are glow sticks for the reception tacky? Like when the guest are dancing ? What do you all think?

Re: glow sticks?!?

  • I think it's ok...as long as it's more of a party scene, not formal.  Ours is NYE and we're having glow stirrers for the drinks!

  • i wanted something fun also and desided to do led lighted icecubes, also our bar we rented is lighted up.
  • If that's what you like, do it. My FI and all his friends.... and his brother are either ex ravers or current ravers. So I either allow/provide the glowsticks or spend the whole night confiscating the ones they snuck it. LOL.

  • I went to a wedding a year and a half ago at the fanciest ballroom in the area, and in the middle of the dancing, they brought out glow sticks for the kids, and they LOVED IT.  It was absolutely hilarious....they combined them to make jump ropes and the adults got in on the action too.  Michaels had packs of 15 glow stick bracelets for $1 and I could resist so I bought 8, hehe.
