IZZE drink - glass bottled ones

Hi all---

I love Izze drink - pretty much everything about it. So I was planning to have Izze drinks at the reception, but I can't seem to find any retailer that sells the glass bottled ones at a reasonable price. Sam's and Costco used to carry them, but not anymore (I only see them in cans now). I tried GFS, too, but no luck. Where have you bought yours? I tried Amazon, but it's even more expensive (after the H&S cost) than just grabbing 4-bottle packs from a local grocery store. My local grocery store sells an Izze 4-bottle pack at $6.99 (or about $1.75/bottle), so that's the price I'm trying to beat..

My wedding isn't till March, so is there a good time to buy? Hopefully they go on sale for the holidays...?

Thanks!!

  • Try BevMo. They sell IZZE bottles there and can special order them in bulk. If you have or get a BevMo rewards card with them they'll give you 10% off. This is what my sister did when she purchased her beverages for her wedding.
  • Keep in mind that you need to buy beverages your guests will enjoy, not what is your favorite.  Does everyone on your guest list enjoy IZZE as much as you do?  I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm trying to save you some money.  Choose what will appeal to your guests for the reception, not what appeals to you and FI.

<div>I don't think there's anything wrong with serving Izze sodas, but I would also have the usual assortment of soda (at least coke/diet coke), a nonfizzy drink like lemonade or iced tea, and juice.  You have to know your crowd.  I would really like Izze sodas at a wedding, but I know people that drink diet coke like it's water and would be craving it if you didn't have it.  Are you serving these at the reception, or having them as favors or something like that?  </div>
  • What about asking the grocery store if they can cut you a deal for buying in bulk?
  • If you're not using them as favors, why not go for the cans?  If you cannot find the bottles for less, is it really worth the extra money (assuming that Costco/Sam's has a good price on the cans)?  Many people may want the drink poured into a glass anyway.

</div><div>It sounds like it could be a bit cost prohibitive - if you can't do it for the wedding, maybe for the rehearsal dinner?

  • I was just in Whole Foods, and I believe they were $1.49/bottle.  WF also sells things with a 10% case discount.
  • A cute way to use them if you cant find them cheaper is to use them as your escort cards. Have tags around the bottle necks with the guest name and then little stickers on the cap with the table number? Then you would only need one per guest, but it would still be incorporated.
