I'm getting married on a Saturday in church about an hour away from my house. I would like to have a semi-formal party at my house on Friday night, it will have cater food,cupcakes and have a reception"feeling " like environment.Kinda of like a home reception....there will be a toast.. but no DJ o rfirst dance.. I want to do this because I have out-of-town guest coming and I know they will be at my house visiting away, a couple of days before the wedding. And we are not doing a reception, because we only have the weekend to have our honeymoon(due to work commitments).And i really don't want to deal with setting up a reception in another town.So any ideas of what to call it and how to do it?
