So I just called a venue, and the lady said they do two contracts: 1 for tables and chairs, cleaning, tax, and the venue rental for cost $X. The other contract is for a-la-carte rental of plates, cups, silverware, linens, etc.as needed, which would be in addition to the cost of the venue. Is this normal?
I knew I had to rent linens and such, but is it weird to rent plates and flatware from an indoor, furnished location (i.e. it is not a tent set up on their property)? For some reason, I had it stuck in my head that the caterers take care of the appropriate dishes....
