Here is what I would like people’s opinion on. I am getting married in August 2011. My fiancé and I bought our house in May 2010, and were thrown a house warming party. I am now being told that I should not have a bridal shower because we had a house warming party. This is coming from my sister-in-law and brother, which they did not have a house warming party, but did have a bridal shower and had 3 sets of parents pay for their wedding. Now things have changed because my father has pasted and the finical situation is not the best for my mom and his parents, so we are paying for the wedding. I just don’t get why we are not special enough to also have a bridal shower. Now this is causing big fights between families. I feel like we finally get my 15 minutes of fame, and they are taking 7 minutes away from us. What do people think of this? Should be also have a bridal shower?
