Seating Chart Help!

Has anyone used a website to help organize seating arrangements? I came across one that wanted $25 to use the program, but was hoping there was a free one out there. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Martha Stewart's wedding site has a great tool!  You start with a grid that represents your venue and you can drag different sized tables onto it and then drag guests' names to seats. marthastewartweddings.com, then follow the links to planning tools. Obviously, you'll have to create an account.

It's not well advertised though. I wouldn't have found it if a friend hadn't refered me to it.

I plan to use excel. Just make up a chart for table 1 and put the number of seats. Do the same for each table.

I second the post-it note idea. I am a teacher, and it is how I make seating charts. I am a visual learner, so it works better for me. Whatever works I guess.

It's free and does pretty much everything you'd need a program like that to do. You could also use Google Sketch-Up if you want a 3-D idea of what it's going to look like...FI is a graphic designer and loves it, though I honestly find it more difficult to use. The first one is nice and idiot-proof, which I like in software.
