Menus

Just wondering... Is it stupid to have menus on the plates when you are doing meal selections with your RSVP card? What are you supposed to put on the menus?

It's not stupid, but it's also not necessary.

They could be worded like this:

    First Course
(whatever your salad or first course is)

    Entree
    X with a side of Y
    or
    A with a side of B

    Dessert
    (whatever you have for desert)

If you only gave "chicken" or "beef" as options on RSVPs, you can give a better description of them and the other food served on the menus.

yup. if a guest chooses their meal month before what is the point of a menu?

by me weddings are table side order with many choices so the menus are important. for you-no.

This should be done on the card with the invite!!!  Nothing irritates me more than 'chicken' or 'fish' as the only description. what's the veg? starch? is there a sauce? does the chicken have bones? give that info on your rsvp card-be super descriptive-and no need for menus.
