Photo Booth at Reception

Hi Ladies!!

I am thinking of doing a photo booth at our reception. The packages come with a book and the idea is that guests keep a copy of the pics, and the other copy goes in the book. Has anyone seen this done at weddings? I was thinking of maybe making a background in purple to match my colour scheme. Do you think this would be a fun thing at a wedding reception (the reception is at a nice hotel). Thanks!

Re: Photo Booth at Reception

  • They are really popular at weddings right now and guests seem to love them. If it's in your budget, go for it!

  • Never seen it done at a wedding, but I love the idea. Sounds fun
  • They're really trendy right now.  Be sure to bring silly costumes and props that people can use in the pictures, that's the best part.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I've seen them at weddings and people love them.  Smile
  • I was also thinking of doing a photo booth at our reception in May - instead of disposable cameras on the tables... Since guests get to keep a copy of their photos and I will get a book and a cd for future print-outs, this seemed like a neat, inter-active way for guests to fill their time during cocktail hour while we are still getting our pictures finished.  Any other ideas...  Props seems like a good idea too. I hadn't thought of that!!
  • I was thinking of adding a dark purple background, or maybe even a damask background to the photo booth. Also a table right next to it with an album with black pages, and a gel pen so guests can attach their pics into the book and write a note.

I don't think I want to go too nuts with props, but a feather boa and a pair of oversized sunglasses could be fun...

Another neat idea I saw was to have a white board as a prop so guests can write messages and hold it up! The bride and groom can go in first and write "Thank You" on the white board to use as (you guessed it) thank you cards!
