We're having a cocktail party following the ceremony. We're not that big into some wedding traditions (dollar dance, unity candles, and so on). So we're thinking of skipping out on a cake too. I just can't bring myself to pay 1,000 or more to feed people cake.
The manager of my site told me we should probably still have a small one for a cake cutting ceremony but I'm still not sure. I'm trying to see if the site can make strawberry shortcakes instead. Who knows though, it may cost as much as a cake.
Any fun, inexpensive ideas? Has anyone ever done anything with ice cream?
