My fiancee and I are both older and on our second marriages. I really want to have a fun celebration that includes our friends and family. It will be a destination wedding of sorts (3 hours from our home) and the ceremony will be at noon. We're thinking of having a light meal after the ceremony in the form of a baked potato bar at a historical hotel in Wyoming.
The problem I'm having is that neither of us really wants to have a dance afterwards and since we will be finished in the early afternoon I'm having trouble deciding on what to do that evening. I really want to do something that my whole family can participate in...I'm even considering bowling (we're sort of off beat). Our wedding will be in September and at that time of year all of their local concerts are over for the year.
Is anyone doing anything like this or have any suggestions?
