First Dance Song Ideas

I've been on here for awhile and have read a few post about different ideas and have gotten good ideas and help.

Now, I'm writing to ask for help and some ideas.

We are getting marriied on October 22, 2011 and are in the process of searching, looking and listening to songs that we can dance to for our First Dance.

Our songs as a couple arent really ones we can use to dance to so now we are on a hunt.  We've listened to all sorts of songs and can't really decide on one.

We have chosen the Father/Daughter dance song and now we need our song and also the Mother/Son dance.

Please, any ideas or suggestions would really help.

    What are the songs that you like as a couple that aren't suitable?  Are there lesser known songs by those artists or other versions of some of those songs?

    It's hard to give suggestions other than just generic cliches without knowing more about your music style.  My favorites have been songs that you wouldn't automatically think of as first dances.

    Do you have a favorite artist or band? We never had 'a song' when we were dating or anything like that but one day I started listening to Michael Buble and now I can't stop so when it comes to picking 'our song' I knew it would by him. Maybe you can just youtube or google someone you truly love listening to and see if anything fits! Best of luck!!

    Dave Barnes is an amazing artist who has so many beautiful love songs. A perfect one for a wedding is: I Have and Always Will.

    When God Made You   is a beautiful song.  I am getting married the same day as you, and that will be our first dance song.
