Re: Grand March song?

  • Do you mean the processional? Grand March = something we did for prom in high school.

TK has tons of articles about music ideas.

I've never really heard it called a Grand March, except for Proms or Debutante balls. Do you mean:

Prelude: music played during seating, and/or seating of the mothers.
Processional:  BMs and bride's entrance into the ceremony. They might all enter to the same music, or the bride might have a seperate song.
Recessional: WP exits from the ceremony
Grand entrance: the bride and groom are announced as they enter the reception.  Often the WP is introduced also, may or may not have a different song.
First dance:  bride and groom start out the dancing.
  • The grand March is what I have always have called it but Yes it is the "grand entrance.  I have looked at the knots ideas and it isn't what we like... we want something original not so trendy.

  • I am also trying to figure out our GRAND MARCH SONG.....& our wedding is next weekend!! LOL I want the song to be AWESOME! Something to get the croud going!! I'm just debatiing if it should be something "OLD SCHOOL" or "NEW & HIP"....ANY IDEAS LADIES???

    THANK YOU! :)
