Kids table ideas?

We're having an afternoon wedding with a lot of kids, mostly 612 year olds. I'm looking for some creative ideas for activities to include on a kids table. I'm thinking coloring books, etc. Nothing that will make a mess or require a lot of supervision. Ideas? Thanks!

That would be kids ages 6 to 12.
  • Coloring books is a great start. I also think legos would be a good idea - who doesn't love legos? They're all old enough to where you don't need to worry about them swallowing it, and they'll be entertained for hours on that!
  • I"m doing individual 'activity bags' instead of a table.  Most of the parents wouldn't let their kids stray to make use of a dedicated table.  I'm doing these @ the kid seats instead of a favor.

I got cute little felt bags at the dollar store and am putting their names on them using 'puffy' fabric paint.

The bag contents are based on age - kids 0-2 are getting an apple juice box, sippy cup and snack bowl full of goldfish crackers (the cups & bowls I found in the $1 bin @ Michaels), a pack of fruit snacks + one of these: http://www.jonahlisadyer.com/2009/05/cheap-easy-button-snake.html

3-8 are getting an apple juice box, a snack bowl with goldfish crackers, a pack of fruit snacks, a box of jumbo crayons and coloring books and a sticker book (again - $1 bins @ Michaels)

8-12 are getting the juice box/food a little coloring book and a set of either Go-Fish, Old Maid or War cards.  I'm also seating these families together so (hopefully) the kids will play cards with each other.

I am thinking of doing an iSpy game for the kids. Each kid gets a list and a disposable camera to take pictures of the items on the list. Will be cute to see what the kids come up with for photos. The ides from my pinterest board is here: http://pinterest.com/pin/177540410280092361/

I saw a kids table with slinkies, play doh, and coloring books/crayons and some blank papers for the artists who wanted to do their own thing. The parents mostly supervised the kids over there, but it honestly wasn't used as much as I think the B&G planned. Activity bags sound like a better idea to me.

That is a great idea ! I am borrowing it as well :) The boys range from 6-13, so that will be perfect. Thanks for sharing!
