We're doing a seating arrangement in terms of seating people at specific tables, but allowing them to decide on the individual seats at the table, so we won't be doing place cards
I'm doing a board for at the front of the reception venue, with the seating arrangement and am now wondering how to present the seating plan. I was going to do table by table and list the names of the people at that table. Do I do last name first then a comma and the first name? Do I put couples on the same line (ex. John and Mary Smith)? Do I go alphabetical by last name?
I did see a sample in a store that had gone alphabetical by last name and just put the table number next to the name, but most of the people coming to the wedding have one of 3 different last names, so I didn't think that it would work as well.
Any suggestions or ideas from what's normally done?
