My FI and I are on a very limited budget so we decided to just use our iPod/computer and some speakers for music. Neither of us is much of a dancer, and our wedding will be a Sunday afternoon so it won't be one of those weddings that goes into the wee hours. We will do our first dance and maybe a father-daughter dance, but don't anticipate much dancing.
We are having board games swapped out for the centerpieces (which are property of the venue and were included) after the cake cutting, so guests can play games at their table or they can mingle and/or play at another table. My FI and I love board games, so it's very us, and we are hoping it will be a decent alternative. There will be a dance floor and we'll mainly have upbeat music (we're thinking a lot of 80s and 90s hits) in case anyone does want to boogey.
We were excited about this, but the more shows I've seen with wedding stuff and the more I've heard, the more I'm nervous that people will be bored and disappointed. I never knew people actually look forward to dancing for hours at weddings, because I dread it.
We will have a small wedding- around (or less than) 50 people, almost all family. I'm curious Knotties- should we change things or keep things as planned?
