My fiancé has a huge family with lots of kids under 13. We're going to have a separate kids' table set up, since we figure it'd be easier on the kitchen to come out with the kids's menu for just one table. I've read a few articles here on the Knot, like having coloring supplies at the table for the kids, but my fiancé says that the kids will just end up ignoring the crayons and just run around looking for their parents. He's against putting the kids in a separate room so they can watch movies or play or whatever, and on top of all of this he wants to put the kids's table right next to the cake table! I want to include the kids in our wedding, but I just feel like if we do things his way, it'll turn out to be a disaster with children running amuck, ruining the cake, and Lord only knows what else.
Am I rightfully freaked out by this issue, or am I being a bridezilla? If I'm right to be freaked out, how can I compromise with him? If I'm being a bridezilla, how can I get over this fear of a ruined reception?
