I am having a catholic ceremony so the ceremony has to be in the early afternoon because of saturday evening mass the church has every saturday. My fiance and i have discussed how early the reception will start if we start it right after the ceremony ( around 4ish). Is 4ish too early to make our guests eat dinner at the reception? my mom also made a suggestion to put on the invitation that the reception starts at 5 or a later time not immediately following the ceremony to allow us to take pictures at the church and the bed and breakfast where we are having the reception and to allow the reception to start later so dinner at the reception won't be so early. Is that tacky to make guests find something to do in between the ceremony and reception so the reception will start at a later time. Almost all guests will be coming from out of town. The ceremony and reception is in this really small country town so not much is around there. Need some suggestions for the reception?!?!?!
