I have a 4 pm ceremony with a 6 pm reception start time (ceremony is 30 minutes, following by receiving line and time for people to travel to reception site which is 30 minutes away). We're having a 3 course family style** meal (salad, entree with 2 meats, potatoes and veggies followed by dessert). We'd serve the cake with champagne around 9-9:30 pm
Is that enough food so we can avoid cocktail hour and a late night table? We're considering bringing in pizza around 10 pm, but we were just at a wedding exactly like this and neither of us left hungry.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
*Family style = bowls of food are brought to the table and refilled if necessary so everyone can have seconds or thirds if they want.
