Signature drink names

We're having two cocktails.  One of them will be called "Something Blue".  The other one is a green, vodka-based drink.  I can't seem to think of a wedding-related name for it!  Any suggestions?  TIA!

Re: Signature drink names

  • Does it really need a wedding-related name?  I like to know what I'm drinking, personally.  If a cocktail has a non-standard name, I usually avoid it.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284
  • I would post a nicely made sign by the bar stating the name of the signature drinks dn what is in them.  As for what to name the green drink, I have no idea.  You could pretty much name it whatever you want.

  • Can you incorporate your new last name into it?  My new last name starts with Pink, so we made a Pinkitini.  I  made a sign describing what it was to put on the bar.

  • You could name the green drink "Something Borrowed" since you're calling the other one "Something Blue".

Ditto putting a sign at the bar describing what's in the two drinks. That's what we're doing because we wanted our signature drink to have a name that went with our theme and didn't want guests to just guess what the cocktail was comprised of. Those extra personal touches are the little things your guests will always remember long after your wedding day. HTH!
  • What kind of drink is it? I have seen green mojitos...

    Mint to Be Mohito
    Weddito

Or is it like a martini? Almost any word can be combined with 'tini' at the end.

Or maybe have it be a combo of your names? Like if your name is Sandra and his is Tom- the 'Tomdra'. Or just name it after your (new) last name, like 'The Johnson'. I bet his family would love that! And probably you could make it a tradition at family gatherings to have that drink!

Or it could just be a wedding name: Wedding wonder, Just married, First dance, Love potion, etc.

You can do a google search, that should give you ideas too.

  • hmmm it's hard not knowing what flavor it is....maybe "Something Blue," and "Something Green?" "Green Groom?

  • Just call it by its regular name. It doesn't have to be wedding-related and people do prefer familiar names rather than making something up to fit your names.
