Two Separate Receptions

Okay, ladies, I need some advice.  I am marrying a youth pastor, and the church frowns upon having any form of alcohol at the reception.  Plus, my husband to be doesn't drink nor does he want to serve alcohol around any of his kids that may come to the wedding.  However, all of our family and friends (and me) enjoy a glass or two of wine, so as a couple, we feel like we should have a reception for them and one for the members of our church who would feel uncomfortable if alcohol is served.

So, here is my question....should we have our wedding at 5:00 with a church reception to follow for an hour, and then delay our big reception with alcohol until around 7 or 7:30?  (BTW, we cannot have our wedding any earlier than 5). I guess I am just scared with such a big lapse in time from the end of the ceremony until the reception that people will just go home and not come to our 7:00 reception.

What does everyone think?  Any advice or suggestions are appreciated!
