Naples, Florida Budget Reception

I am planning my wedding for May of 2014, and we are trying to find options for a more laid-back (budget) reception.  We are spending $2500 on the ceremony site alone, and they do not allow outside vendors for the reception.  They charge a minimum of $130 per person for their catering, plus another flat $1000, and that is way above our budget.

We were thinking of doing something like a barbeque on the beach, but we aren't sure how to approach it.  Any suggestions??

I'm confused... you want a barbeque on the beach at this venue that charges $130 per person?  You want to know how to ask them if they will do a barbeque for less?  Or are you trying to find a different venue for a barbeque on the beach?

We are trying to find a different venue for a barbeque on the beach - the hotel where our ceremony is does not allow outside vendors.
  • Then I would check out a florida board to ask around.

  • Sorry, I'm new to this whole thing.... I didn't even realize there were boards for specific states.   My mistake.
