Re: h'orderves

  • The wedding and  reception will be held at our church, My mon and other church family will be making all the food. As it will be held at the church we will not be having a cocktail hour. And as it stands right now the reception will start at about 7:00 pm.
  • We're doing passed hors d'ouevres for an hour (lamb lollipops, Caribbean chicken salad tartlettes, sashimi tuna and glazed grilled shrimp on skewers) and then having 4 heavy hors d'oeuvres buffet stations (beef tips and mashed potato bar , asian station (sushi, teriyaki vegetable noodle salad, eggrolls and chicken satays) a Tapas station with fish tacos and shrimp & snapper ceviche  and a Build Your Own Grilled Cheese Bar with mini soup sippers.
The last one is attended by a chef who grills whatever you want from the selection of cheeses and fillings to order for the guests)We figure this way, people can graze and mingle and dance as they please.

You could take a lot off of your mom and church family by ordering trays through Sam's Club (they do wonderful sandwich spirals) as well as purchase their bulk frozen appetizers (egg rolls, spanikopita, taquitos, mini burgers etc) - so they're just heating items up in the church hall kitchen and not having to transport prepared food.
