Centerpiece Opinions

Hello Everyone! I have a vision for my centerpieces and i'm not sure if it will look right in person or not. I plan on doing a mock table set up in a few months, but was looking for some opinions! I have been collecting milk glass vases and bowls for the past 1 1/2 years. My colors are navy, white and yellow. Our tables will be set up so there are 2 8-foot tables pushed together. I am planning on putting a big milk glass bowl in the middle, filled with lemons. Then on each side, I would like to have the bud vases, 3 on each side, with a big bold yellow and/or white flower in each vase. I also plan to use navy linens. I will be incorporating the lemons through out the reception. Favors are lemon drops. Lemonade with a Main Squeeze sign next to it, etc. What do you think about the table ideas?? I will also have those Ikea white double-sided picture frames on each table, diplaying the table number on one side and the menu on the other. Any thoughts?? Suggestions, etc???

  • I love that! I love your colors as well. The lemons and the navy with white flowers....it is going to look so good! My only suggestion I guess would be to use white flowers for sure, to simmer down all the yellow that the lemons are going to bring to the centerpiece.

  • OR I don't know what your flower is but maybe a big white gerbera daisy with a yellow center.

  • Thank you! That's a good idea! I was going to go with yellow flowers for the bud vases, but the more I think about it, I love, love love peonies, so I may just end up doing peonies in the vases with a pop of yellow using those billy balls or something! Thanks for the suggestions!

I also did milk glass vases but with all yellow flowers.  It came out great and I got so many compliments. My recommendation is to talk to your florist about what is in season because that will be the most affordable.  If there is a certain type of flower you have to have (hydrangeas for me) use it only in your bouquet.  If you give them an idea of the types of arrangements you like they can do a lot.
