Photo Montage w/music at Reception

Hello,

My fiance and I wanted to do a slideshow of photos of us when we were little up until our wedding day and set it to music. We asked the DJ if they could do this and they said that they could but it would cost us $695!!  Just curious if anyone else has done this and how much it has cost them? $695 seems a steep and I nearly passed out when I saw the price.

That seems kind of insane to me. Find out if your banquet hall has any kind of projection system set up. My cousin did this at her wedding. You can easily do the photo montage on powerpoint and set it to music on your own. Just need to work out the projection system but I'm fairly sure you could rent one for a minimal price.

We are doing the same thing. You can either bring in a projector screen or a tv, plug a dvd player into it and let ppl come to watch it. My dad has a projector screen so we are using that and hooking it up.

I think its a cool idea. Every wedding I've been to that has this always has guests stopping to check it out.

Hey Lauren, see my thread on chit chat a few days ago. A DJ I met with wanted to charge me $1,000. Guess who's not having a photo montage with music at the reception lol.

My DJ is charging me $250 for a large flat screen TV and projector system (Boston), FWIW.
One DJ also said he would charge less for it if we were responsible for hooking it up and playing the slidewhow. See if that would be an option for you.
