I just thought I should put a review out there to hopefully help some Seattle brides looking for a DJ. DO NOT use Level 1 DJ! I had booked him for my wedding ceremony and reception and the owner, Matt, was difficult to work with and arrogant. On the wedding day he DJ'd the ceremony without problems, but during the reception he did not live up to what he promised. He was unprofessional and lacked tact and courtesy towards my guests. Our guests list was very culturally diverse and we wanted a variety of different world music along with American music to be played. We made him a very specific list of music to play, including much Persian music since the groom and his family are Persian. The DJ played only a few of the Persian songs, and hardly any of the other salsa, cha-cha, bhangra and others that we specifically requested he play. In fact, he mostly played Michael Jackson songs, and often re-played the same songs over again. His transition from one song to the other was not smooth---one song would stop, there would be a 30 second pause, and then the next song would finally start. He was also supposed to make all the announcements. However, when he was announcing the table numbers for dinner he started getting rude and impatient. When he introduced the 2 people that were to give toasts, he announced to the entire room of 160 guests that one of the gals to give the toast was in the bathroom! He was also contracted to bring uplights, which he did, but when asked for an idea of how we wanted them set up he basically through a fit when we told him we'd want to have the lights moved from the ceremony to reception area. Since the music was such an important part of our celebration, I was disappointed about the DJ and would not recommend him to anyone.
