OK, so ladies I need some honest input. I think my color scheme is fun & modern but I want to avoid picturing something really cool & fun in my head that may be too jarring in person....
We're going with a deep eggplant purple (plus other purple shades) with pops of lime green. Not really lime, but almost lime green... (think: button mums)
Anyway, the problem is this - the reception hall is this elegant white and ivory place that is basically a blank (bright) palate for me to go crazy on... but the chairs that come with the venue are a maroon color and a little uggo IMHO.
So what I was thinking was to use white chair covers over the chairs, and eggplant table covers with our fun purple & green centerpieces.... and some fun purple uplighting on the walls. But my question is this: will the dark purple be too severe against the elegant backdrop??

Any input would be super helpful (and sorry for the long post)
