I'm looking for something special to have at the reception that people will say "they had a cool idea for the reception". ie...yogurt machine, photobooth, cotton candy machine, etc... But I'm looking for something other than these ideas.
I saw a chocolate fountain at a wedding. It was AWESOME, but everyone filled up on it and they had so much leftover cake. If you're ok with that, though, it's definitely a crowd-pleaser. I know also here in Dallas there is an ice cream shop that will bring a few flavors and have someone serve it at the end of the night. Another wedding I saw brought in Whataburger breakfast food at the end of the night as 'drunk' food.
Have the DJ teach dance moves/choreography to certain songs? I saw this at a bridal show and it was hilarious to see some of the older people shaking their butts.

I actually thought about this. I was thinking it might be too much sweet stuff with the cupcakes we are using for the wedding cake and the cookies we are using for the groom's cake. ?????

I'm already going to have a chocolate fountain. Kinda wanted something other than food.
One of my friends had a popsicle cart greeting guests before they walked into the reception coctail area. It was a hot day and one was margarita flavored with alcohol
Our DJ told us the last wedding he did sometime this summer brought in Taco Bell at like 10:30...I thought that was pretty awesome as I'm sure the guests did
we are having a photo couch which is similar to the photo booth concept except it is just a blue couch and you get 2 4x6 photos not sure if there is anything like that in your area but we are excited to have the twist on the photobooth
