Penn Oaks

Good Morning Brides to be,

My fiance and I really wanna have our wedding at Penn Oaks Golf Club. I love the patio and he loves the golf course, however, we are affraid that the ballroom will not comfortable fit our 230 guest that are invited. As anyone ever been to a big wedding there? Also, do you know of any other golf courses in that area?

    As luck will have it I've been to a few events at Penn Oaks.  I'm not sure any of them were that big though.   All the events were nice.  

    Where in that area are you from? 






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    I had my wedding at Penn Oaks in 2011 I heard so many great things about the newely designed ballroom and how it could fit up to 250, which is what i thought i needed.  i ended up having 265 and it was very comfertable.  I am picky and didnt want it to look over packed and was worried at first. However, I must say over all my whole experience with the wonderful event planner, dawn, made my experience easy and i never felt overwhelmed! Which is something i didnt want to be after seeing so many of my friends doing.  My friend is getting married in 2013 at Penn oaks because she had such a great time at my wedding.  She was my maid of honor and now i will be her's.  What ever you decide.  For the price and accomidatitons and service, you cant beat it!  I hope you have a wonderful wedding and find place of your dreams and have a wedding like i did.  Just remember to enjoy your day and find an event planner/ wedding planner who really wants the same for you.  It goes by very quickly.

    also there is concord country club, and a few other places like mendonhall, hotels etc.  Honostly they cost way  more and have lots of internal problems.  I have been to weddings of friends and they didnt have an experience like mine and loved my wedding.  The inital price didnt seem like much but once you start tacking on little things its shocking how price goes up.  I had a nice budget to work with and i didnt even hit my budget but yet in my opinion had a better wedding than my girls!
