Colored Lighting

Good morning!  Does anyone know where we could purchase I'm guessing colored caps for outside lights?  My father wants the lights surrounding the trees outside to be colored and I haven't figured out exactly how to do that.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

You can get uplights at home improvement stores like Lowe's or Home Depot.  Then, get a piece of colored clear plastic (in theater we call them gels), cut to size, and put on top of the light (unscrew the cap and replace the original glass or clear plastic cover).  If the uplights you find do not have that extra ring cap on it, you can place the gel overtop of the light fixture, then use black Gaffer's tape (some call it Gaff tape) to hold the colored plastic or gel in place.

Oh -- and if you are going to have people walking around where the uplights are, use the leftover Gaff Tape to tape the electric cords down so that no one can trip on them.  Or, get the rubber cord covers (which would be the BEST option if you're talking about outdoors where tape won't exactly stick to grass very well).
