Wedding Reception Forum

Photo display

Hey ladies!! I want to display a bunch of silly and crazy photos of my fiance', I, and our bridal party from the past and present at our reception. Any ideas on what I can do???

Re: Photo display

  • My DD got a huge poster frame and made a collage of photos of she and her DH from infancy to only a month or two before their wedding.  It was displayed on an easel by the cake table.  People loved looking at the pictures.  I thought it was terrific and lots of fun for people.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146
  • Ditto PP, except we used more recent photos of us and I think we'll display it by the place card table. I made it on the classic Kodak website and it just arrived and I like it a lot:

  • DH and I used a digital photo frame and placed it at the guestbook table.

  • Love the digital frame idea!!!

You could also buy a room divider and cover it in pics!

I was thinking of doing something kind of funny in the bathrooms - you know how there are those spaces for posters on the inside of the bathroom stall? I was thinking of making up posters with a bunch of pics of me and FI, and little hand written things like "JB + DA" etc.

  • My mom and I are just buying a bunch of frames in my colors of varying sizes. Solid colors and putting them at guest book tables, cake table and  probably  around the "lounge area" outside the ballroom. We are using funny and silly pics and old pics from college mixed in with more recent ones.
  • I just did a wedding that the couple actually got married in Belize and had the reception at OU.  They put together a slideshow of random photos using Snapfish and added a few of thier fav songs.  It looped over a few times as guests arrived.  I suggest it to all my brides now!  It's a great personal touch.
