I need Ideas to turn a reception hall into a pretty garden themed wedding. The hall has drop ceilings and off white walls. They have wonderful food and actually very pretty stone accent walls. Which will work well with my garden theme. The carpeting sucks and the dance floor sucks...so their flooring altogether sucks. I am hoping once I have everything decorated it won't look as bad. I need ideas on how to dress it up a bit.
I don't want it to look cheesy. Any ideas on what I should do to decorate the place? I am already thinking about adding an arch over the cake table...and possibly looking into water features. Problem is I don't want it to look like a fairy place....more like this picture for less obviously. I can't afford to get a giant fountain like that and I actually will not have TONS of room for it. I am having my photographer do a "photo booth" without the booth for me. So they were going to bring in back drops and everything. Do you think it would look cheesy if I had a corner set up with a grass carpet and bench with stage decorations to look like a "garden"? Which can serve as a decoration and for the photo backdrop. Anyway please give me more ideas!!
