FI and were in the car over the weekend and Paula Abdul's song Striaght Up came on. We had a blast singing and dancing to it and I decided we should have some 80's songs thrown in. What would be some good ones? Thanks!

You can kind of go two ways with 80s music. New Wave/Pop (Wham!/Go-go's/Duran Duran) or the 80s rock(hair metal-Poison/Warrant/Van Halen or most rock-Journey/The Cars). It depends on what's more your taste. Here are bands from the 80s I'd look at (not a complete list, just what's coming off the top of my head):

Duran Duran

New Order

Depeche Mode

Wham!

The Bangles

The New Romantics

The Cure

The Cars

Journey (because everyone loves to sing along with Journey, especially when drinking)

early Beastie Boys (Fight for your Right (to party) always goes over well)

Madonna

Def Leopard

The Police

If I were you, I'd go get one of those cheap 80s CDs and just see what I liked.

you can google Top 80's wedding songs iand it will come up. I know our DJ's website had an option of knowing what the top 200 wedding songs are (and then the top songs from each decade). IF you can't find it, let me know and I can try to pull it up and post it here
