Good ideas for decorating cupcakes...

 My fiance and i are having a very simple, outdoor reception. I want to make my own cupcakes. Any ideas for decorating them? My theme is daisies, but i hate those nasty little fondant flowers...

Get some different icing bag tips.  I've found them in some craft stores and some kitchen stores.  Make a batch of icing and practice making daisies on wax paper. I would do about five daisies per cupcake instead of making one big one.

This is maybe kind of weird but you could put an actual daisy on each one. Just the actual flower. I think that would be really cute. (I think only the greens are edible though, but not sure if people would think the could eat them?)

I thought these were really cute: a 104 tip for the petals would work great and instead of the little sprinkles in the middle you could use candied pearls in yellow and make a little cluster of pearls for the center. To give it a contrast to the icing. Good luck
