Too Much Red??

so my wedding colors are red and burnt orange. I LOVE the color red and am incorporating it into almost every part of the wedding. My bouquet is all red, my bridesmaid dresses are red, the groomsmen vests are red, my chair sashes are red, and my girls bouquets and table centerpieces are red with burnt orange. The rest of my linens are white, but is this still too much?? Should I incorporate more orange into the wedding? and what are some other ways to incorporate orange??

Re: Too Much Red??

  • That's so a matter of personal style and of how your actual space will look...I don't think you will get a lot of help here.  Good luck!
  • No, I don't think it's too much red. I LOVE those colors as well. Hmm, could you girls wear orange shoes with the red? Or could they wear jewelry with their BM dresses that is a nice burnt orange color? Groomsmen wear orange ties, and BMs have orange sashes? Can the tables have an orange runner if the centerpeices are all red?
Just some ideas I could think of. I think it will be really beautiful.

  • The eye needs someplace to rest.  Could you add white to the bridesmaids bouquets?  You have burnt orange and red flowers against a red dress which is very intense.

Other than that, your plans sound lovely.  Red is main color and burnt orange is the accent color.

I wouldn't put white in the bouquets, but I might do more orange... and maybe into yellow to make sure the bouquets stood out against the dresses.

  • thanks for the advice everyone! my florist is adding greenery underneath the girls bouquets and in the centerpieces, I'm also going to talk to her about adding more orange to the bouquets and just having some red to make them stick out more. and I like the idea of the orange table runner, thanks!
