Pen Ryn/Belle Voir Cost

Does anyone know how much Pen Ryn and Belle Voir cost per person? Based on their website it looks like you have to take a tour in order to find out their current prices (I sent an inquiry and have yet to hear back). We're narrowing down our search  and don't want to head over there if it's out of our range. We're planning a Saturday evening reception for 150-170. Date is flexible, but we're considering fall 2010 or April or August 2011. Thanks.

I received info about a year ago when inquiring to venues - from what I remember a Saturday evening was well over $100. Are you flexible on the day (opt for a Friday night or Sunday afternoon)?

Off peak months in that period you are aiming for would be a good bet too (like April or November/December)

Our wedding is booked for the Pen Ryn Mansion next year. It's about $125/person for a sit down reception on a Saturday night. That's the starting price. There's discounts for Sunday receptions and for Friday receptions of about $10/person.We've paid about $10k now towards the reception, and there's more to be paid....it's expensive but worth it!I have a general price breakdown sheet w/ info and prices if you want it. Do you have to have a certain number of people at Pen Ryn?

Depends on the day of the week. Saturday Evening has a min of 175. All other days/times, the min is 125. At least that's what my packet from them says.

I am getting married at Belle Voir on NYE...it is costing us about $114 total per person.

We are getting married on NYE and they charged us Saturday night prices.  If I remember correctly there was a 150 min for BV.

I got married there on a friday night and paid 100 a person. They have since changed their package though. I also got married in the off-peak time (Which is January to April for them - or at least use to be).My package included a lot more than the current one but it also use to cost well over 150 a person on a saturday in peak season too.I thought what I paid was a steal for the venue and everything was amazing. I highly recommend it.

I just booked our wedding at Pen Ryn for a Saturday night next Fall. They told us the min was 175, but we asked them if we could lower it to 150. The per person rate starts at $125, but be aware, that's for two chicken dishes. The fish dishes start at $141. They do include a lot in the package, but there are lots of extras that could add up if you go with them.

So you asked them if you could have 150 instead of 175? What did they say? We want to ask them the same question, because we're having trouble coming up with that many people to invite.  A friend of the family knows the owner, so we're hoping that will work in our favor when we ask them to lower the minimum. Here's hoping...

I think its always worth asking!  I'm not sure if it will be different since you are further in the process.  We asked during our first meeting, since we knew the number would be an issue.  Perhaps they can meet you in the middle if you have, say, 160?  If not, definitely use whatever connections you have!
