My surprise for Matt and help needed

So Matt thinks he is getting a plain band.  But when we were shopping we found a ring he liked but he didn't want me spending the money being I was unemployed at the time.  Well, after getting my new job I went back and bought the ring.  I have been making payments and just picked it up TODAY!

I was going to hang onto it and surprise him on our wedding day simply by sliding the new band onto his finger instead of the plain one.

However, we arrive in Mexico on Sunday and our wedding isn't until Friday.  There isn't really a good way for me to put it in the safe without him seeing it.  Not to mention I'm just not comfortable leaving it in a room safe in MX because I've heard horror stories of items disappearning from the safe sinced staff have emergency keys.

So my dilema is how to give it to him?  I'm thinking I will give it to him some time this week before we leave and I need some ideas.  HELP me, ladies!

I don't really want it kept in the hotel room period.  I don't trust it not to disappear.  That's why I'm considering giving it to him here before we leave.  He can then wear it and I won't have to sweat it. lol

Wait! Stop the presses! You are getting married when? Where has the time gone? Damn! Oh, you wanted help. I have no idea.  I'd say keep it with you until the wedding ceremony. I think it would be awesome to wait to give it to him then.

I agree that doing it at the ceremony would be perfect, but I understand the complexity of keeping it on you until then and not wanting to leave it in the hotel room.  Can you have a close friend or family member keep it with them until the wedding day?  That way you're not trying to hide it on your person all week, not leaving it in the room, but also having the chance to truly surprise him.

The ring is beautiful and I can't believe you're getting married so soon!  Ahh!

If you really wanted to give it to him before you leave, why not give it to him one week before the ceremony and at about the same time that the cermony would be held.  You can say its a 1 week pre-wedding anniversary present or something like that.

I gave it to him last night.  I said, "I have a surprise for you.  I wanted to wait until Mexico but logistically it wasn't going to work" and I took his hand and slid it on his finger.  He was definitely surprised.  It was so nice to do something so nice for him and to show him how much I love him ;-)

I'm late but holy cow you have less than two weeks! Where'd the time go!?!  The band is beautiful and I'm glad he was surprised!
