Good Afternoon!

Since there wasn't a good morning thread, I'll start a Good afternoon post. It's quiet around here, what are you busy ladies up to today?

I came home to 3 packages in the mail last night! yay!
-I got my bridesmaids eye-shadow pots (heartsy deal)
- my postage stamps (so worth the $1 shipping rather than waiting in line at the post office with screaming kids and cashiers that seem annoyed when I ask for the pretty stamps!)
-my vistaprint AHR postcards! (They look great in person and shipped out way faster than the slow 21 days shipping I paid for)

I was so excited to seal all my invitations and stamp all the rsvp envelopes last night. My FI couldn't quite understand my excitement, even the pretty stamps made me happy:

This is the

stack of invitations I mailed out this morning! YAY - big check.

After that I attempted to remove my shellac polish - ugh...me and acetone do not mix, I managed to jack up not only a spot on our dining room table but our coffee table too! (im such a ding dong!)I had a thick microfiber towel underneath everything but I set an acetone soaked cotton ball down on the towel and it seeped through and stripped the wood on the tables! :( Needless to say, i only have one hand that is shellac-free at the moment. I'll conquer the other hand tonight...maybe.

Also tonight I'm meeting FI down at the jewerly store to (hopefully)order my newly decided on wedding band! yay. http://www.kay.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product1|10101|10001|-1|80352723|15051|15051.15058.15111

K, that was a little long, sorry.

Re: Good Afternoon!

  • Wow im jealous! I use a blue light lamp thingy every morning when i get ready cuz the constant gray days around here get to me too. I hear that like a huge portion of ppl in WA are vitamin D deficient.

    HHHHEEEELLLLOOOOO KNOTTIES!!!!

I am on lunch break right now and would love to down a bottle of wine, haha!  I don't have much to report besides cleaning my bedroom yesterday!  Yay me!  One of my good friends just booked her tix for coming in for my bridal weekend and I couldn't more excited! It def makes me really excited!
  • Wow! Great checks! Congrats on the invites! That sounds awesome. I can't wait to get ours and start sending them out.

FI and I found a house that we want to look into. It's a short sale, which is a little lame, but since we weren't planning on buying for another year, we figure we've got the time to dedicate, and if it doesn't work out, no biggie, if it does FANTASTIC! The house is really beautiful and the price is perfect. FI's big requirement for a house is a garage, and mine is a beautiful, spacious kitchen and this has both :D
  • Ooooh how exciting Brea! I hope it works out! Crossin my fingers for ya! I wanted to Add to my post that it is so sunny & nice outside today & im in a fabulous mood! We may hit 70* friday! Too bad my office has no windows. I swear this has been a never ending winter & as soon as the sun is out everyone seems to come outta hibernation & are super productive & nicer.

    <div>Thanks! </div><div>
It's so true about the weather. I go through depression in the winter, as soon as the weather gets nicer I am in such a better mood :) It's supposed to be in the mid 80s this weekend here!</div>
  • It's rainy and crappy in New England :( send some sun this way I could use some :) I notice everyone is usually happier when it's nice and sunny out!

    @Sparkle - nice checks!

@ Brea - I'll keep my fingers crossed for the house... sounds like you have the right out look on it!

  • Brea--Good luck!  Hopefully it works out, but glad you have a great attitude if it doesnt!

Sparkle--Great check!  I agree, the $1 shipping SO worth it.  I ordered the same stamps for my RSVP envelopes, then I ordered the wedding ring (not forever stamps) for the invites themselves.  I figured just incase postage goes crazy before people mail back their RSVPs, I'll put forever stamps on them, so I was glad they had a wedding type one!

    This afternoon I was productive:
-Cashed a check for tickets I sold
-Mailed the tickets I sold (Thanks again Brea!)
-Picked up keys to our new PO Box (strictly for RSVPs)
    -Bought FI Deoderant

It was a good lunch break.  Tonight, I'm on my own for dinner so I think I'm getting chipotle with some guac.  It's relatively healty for me, and I can sit on my butt since I feel blah today!

Hope you ladies are having an awesome day!
  • Woohoo! So glad the ticket thing worked out for you. I figured someone I knew would want them :)

The funny thing is, he forgot he had tickets for something else that night, so he has to sell the Kenny tickets too!  I'm glad he bought them still.

    Thanks again!
  • @Sparkle...must be stamp day!  I went to post office and learned that my invites from cardsandpockets.com will cost me .84 to mail...not including the RSVP that I have to include!  Ugh!  Yay for your other checks!

    @Kayla...I LOVE Chipotle...yum...guac!!!!!

This day has been crazy.  I had a rough morning...saw a beagle get hit by a semi on my way to a home visit.  Yeah...I was directly behind it...I was shaken up.  But when I came back through, it was gone.  So the story in my head is that it just laid down to catch it's breath and went home and is resting comfortably with puppy ice cream!  And the night for torture continues...I'm going to take some Aleve and head out for my 1st regime of waxing...I'm not going to Brazil...but South America ;)  Hopefully my skin doesn't get too irritated!
  • Thats so sad about the beagle. Hopefully he was just resting then on his way back home!

Kayla I am jealous of your chipotle, but lucky enough that I came home to BBQ chicken and green beans cooked by my love :)

My day was pretty uneventful, but I am going to work on some invitation designs tonight!
