Wedding in Europe

My fiance and I are interested in getting married in Italy. Anyone have suggestions on locations? Thanks!

Re: Wedding in Europe

  • I dont think there are currently any europe knotties here.  I'd start by meeting with a TA who is familiar with the country, and specifically the region you'd like to host your wedding.   And look at the tourism webpage.  Usually there is a "wedding" section if its something they do frequently, or get asked about enough.  Hopefully you can stick around and tell us about all of your plans and the process.  We'd love to hear all about it.
  • Oh how cool!!  Unfortunately I don't have any information either, but good luck!  Having a wedding in Italy will be so cool!

  • I don't have any info either.  I would do exactly what PP has said.  That's a great place to start.  But welcome and good luck w/ all of your planning!!!!!

  • Thanks ladies for the advice! For some reason this thread wouldn't let me post until now! I have been trying everyday! Sorry, I promise I wasn't being rude! :)

We are currently in a transition from a hometown wedding with 250 guests to a destination wedding. My FI and I really just want a small, intimate wedding with our closest friends and family. I think this would be a great, and memorable trip not only for us but our guests as well. We have told about 20-30 people and they said they are able to attend and to just keep them updated! I am very excited!! The problem is getting through to my mom that this is what we want. This part might be a challenge! Anyone else have this issue? My mom just wants ALL the family to be in attendance and knows that won't happen with a wedding in Europe obviously. We are planning a reception back home after the wedding to share all our memories with them and I told her she can plan this however she wants!

Do you all have have a itinerary at the location of your wedding for activities for your guests? I want this to be as accommodating for our guests as possible. I am open to any other suggestions...

Thanks again! Have a fabulous day!
