Dresses and flip flops...help!! please!!

Hey everyone,

I'm kinda a stalker on this board but really need help.   I just got my bridesmaid dresses in and they are kinda tea length, a bit longer then expected but very pretty...

In any case, I had purchased these flip flops:

, but now  I just don't know if they don't go, or if the girls should be in heels - like my fiance suggests. I have SEVEN bridesmaids!!1

My girlfriend suggests getting the dress hemmed to the bottom of the knees..but what about the shoes. Suggestions NEEDED

If you're having the ceremony on the sand, then I wouldn't suggest heels. They'll sink. You could do maybe a cute wedge...or a strappy flat sandal. Is it possible to ask your girls to buy their own shoes since there are so many of them? You could also consider telling them to find their own shoes in a specific color...maybe black or silver (is the bm dress blue or white?)? That way they'll all have shoes that are comfy and that match their own style. Personally I like it when the bm's are all a little different and not super matchy-matchy.

I personally think it would look terribly cute.  Are you able to try on one of the dresses with the shoes?  BTW, I would buy a pair too.

The dress is turquoise for the bridesmaids and even the sash (that is black in the picture) is turquoise.  Do you think it would be ok to use these flip flops then? Glad you like them )))

Have you tried the dress with the shoes? I'm not sure I would like white shoes with an all-turquoise dress, but I would suggest trying it on all together and see what it looks like.

Yeh that was my problem. The white and turquoise thing. Can you think of any other colors/styles that might go nicely if not the white?

I'm with Ali on the white and turquoise thing.  I personally would go with a metallic or black shoe.  Like pp said try it together and see what you think.  HTH

OMG Shoe mission! Thank you soo much for your help and recommendations I really appreciate the fact that I can come to the knot with these things. Maybe I'll try them on together tonight to get your opinions going tomorrow!   If I end up selling um I'll know where to go!!

Also, looking through your shoes Ms. Alaskan ....my fear is the heel. Being on the beach for the ceremony, I was shying away from a heel with the fear of them sinking.    LOL Am I crazy?!

Ilove those starfish shoes! :-)  I would stay away from heels if your ceremony is in sand.  I actually am letting my girs go barefoot for the ceremony so we don't have to worry about them! I think silver or black would go perfect with your dress!

I don't think a low wedge sink too much...I higher wedge might, and certainly a regular heel would.
