Starting to get a little annoyed with the GL changes!

Can you believe...  8 days from the wedding and I have guest list changes!

Yesterday FI's sister called me and asked me if I can let 3 people come to the wedding.  They made plans to travel to the DR because she was going and they were planning on just showing up to the wedding because they wanted to see (I guess FI knows them to).  I'm not sure why they thought they could just stop on by when they didn't get an invite!  Of course FI said that it was fine... so I had to squeeze them in after I already printed all the escort cards

THEN  this morning a friend of mine sent me an email saying that him and his wife can no longer make it...  WHAT?  You just realized that now?  So now I need to take them off...

In a way it's not bad because it balances out the people I added yesterday...BUT it screws with my seating arrangements and already printed and assembled escort cards!

Okay... deep breath...  everything will be just fine..right?

Wow! That's crazy that you have had that happen so close to the wedding! Just relax and shimmy around the seating, easier said then done I know!! I was still figuring out the seating until the night before our wedding! It was honestly the hardest part of the wedding deciding where to sit everyone without offending anyone! You will be fine and if it's too frustrating the new couple can just take the seats of the couple that couldn't come, it a wedding and you don't always get to sit with people you know!

I totally feel you on last minute changes. I have a feeling we will have at least one or two crashers. Oh well...they will get no escort card and no dinner !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not going to stress it LOL.

Jen, I know it is a pain to have to deal with - but it sounds like it almost worked itself out as far as # of guests go!  Don't let it get to you too much - this is happy time :-)      (i know that is easier said than done).

It's hard believe people were just going to show up to a wedding in DR. Really? Did they expect to eat? Some people amaze me. I hope you get it figured out quickly so you can stop stressing. You're going to be MARRIED soon!! AHH!!

It's really too bad that your friends waiting until now to tell you that they can't make it, so close to the wedding?! But, as you said it balances out. Still it is a little presumptious to think you can 'just pop by' a wedding because you are in the area!!

I know everything will be just wonderful the day, don't let this get you down too much

As far as #'s it did balance out...  so I'm happy about that... and I'm just going to seat them with the photographers and videographer... I had told them that was the only space I had and they were cool with that. There is three of them and only 2 openings at the table where my friend was going to sit... so this seemed like the easiest and least stressful option.  They are just happy I could accomodate them.

And yeah... can you believe they were going to travel to the DR and just hope to make it?!?!  They are even buying guest passes for the the night of the welcome dinner... soooo strange!  But the way I look at it is they must have really wanted to go to the wedding... and in the end, that's what I wanted.  I wanted people at my wedding that really wanted to be there not those that felt obligated to go or were bored on a friday or saturday night.

Glad it at least balances out, but that is sooo frustrating! I seriously don't understand why people think they can just invite themselves. I understand we can't stop people from traveling, but doesn't mean I want you at my wedding! 

Would you be able to just throw her friends at the same table as her.....or just replace where your friends were sitting.

People are so crazy. I'm sorry you're dealing with this so close to the big day! Don't worry, though, everything will be OKAY!!

I would have never agreed to wedding crashers. What a bunch of A-holes!!! Ppl are so rude with this stuff.

that's really crazy considering the "notice" they gave you!!  i guess you can take it as a sign that no matter what obstacle may come from now until the wedding everything will work out!  glad you were able to accomodate them nicely even though it still sux that these last minute changes came about :-)
